We are happy to announce the addition of LibraryThing, a new feature in InfoSoup that will enable you to find titles similar to your favorites, as well as other editions or translations. LibraryThing also adds a tag cloud, so you can explore words and phrases that describe one title in order to find others that you might enjoy.

Take a look at the Finding Similar Titles and Other Editions in InfoSoup (a.k.a. LibraryThing) screencast to learn more, then let us know how you like it in the comments of this post.

Enjoy!

We have added a new help video (a.k.a. screencast) to show you how to use the Saved Searches feature of InfoSoup. This feature allows you to save your favorite searches in your InfoSoup account, where you can then redo a search with the click of a link or tell InfoSoup you would like to receive an email when materials are added to the collection that match your search criteria.

Have a favorite author? Save an author search, mark your search for email, and you'll receive an email when items are added to InfoSoup written by that author. The email includes a link to InfoSoup, so you can check for availability and place a hold. It's a great way to sit back, relax, and let us do the work for you!

Here's the video if you'd like to take a look:

We hope you enjoy this feature! Be sure to let us know what you think of the video by filling out a very brief evaluation survey, and feel free to add your comments and questions here on the blog.
If you're planning on being out of town or on vacation, the Freeze Holds feature of InfoSoup is perfect for you! This feature ensures that materials you've placed holds on in InfoSoup won't arrive while you're gone and be returned before you're able to pick them up. Freezing holds saves your place in the holds queue until you unfreeze your holds when you're back home.

To find out more about Freezing Holds, watch this screencast. We hope you'll take a minute or two after viewing the screencast to share your thoughts about it in our online survey. We appreciate your input!

patreview_add.gifA new feature has been added to InfoSoup that we hope you'll start using right away. Community Reviews allows you to add your own personal review to any item in InfoSoup, whether it's a book, movie, CD, or other format. You'll also be able to view reviews added by others and manage your own reviews in your user account.

Take a look at our screencast, Using Community Reviews In InfoSoup, for information on how to use this new feature. We hope you'll take a minute or two after viewing the screencast to share your thoughts about it in our online survey. We appreciate your input!

Let people know what you think about items in InfoSoup by quickly and easily adding ratings to any title in any format. Just look for the stars on any item's page and click on the number of stars you'd like for your rating. If you need a little more help than that, we've got you covered! Take a look at our screencast, Using Ratings In InfoSoup, and you'll be on your way. If you watch the screencast, please take a moment to let us know if it helped. We'd appreciate it!
